In charging stations for industrial trucks, full charging and regular use of all batteries is very important for economic and trouble-free operation of the trucks.

However, when replacing batteries - particularly during operation across shifts - the usage frequency of the individual batteries is often very different.

Usually when changing the batteries, those at the front of the charging station are given preference to those located in the centre and the rear.

Consequently, batteries that are harder to access are used less frequently. Over time, this irregular usage pattern can lead to a wide variation in the number of charging/discharging cycles for each individual battery. Equally, the storage period of the batteries in the charging station following recharge can also vary significantly.
