First industrial power protection company in the UK to receive ‘big four’ quality certifications
Power protection and conversion specialist BENNING UK today announced that following comprehensive assessment it has achieved the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications and Investor in People recognition with a Silver accreditation. This, when added to the company’s existing ISO 9001 Quality Management certification, completes the set of ‘the big 4’ quality certifications.
Independent external assessors were used to audit BENNING's process and to demonstrate how the company met the strict requirements of each internationally recognised standard. Although rigorous, the assessments were successfully completed due to BENNING’s internal processes and procedures already meeting the exacting requirements of the various certification bodies.
BENNING’s ISO 14001 Environmental Management certification confirms their efficient and responsible use of resources, its waste reduction achievements and its overall, holistic environmental performance whist its OHSAS18001 Health & Safety Management certification confirms their ongoing commitment to the health & safety of all its employees, customers, suppliers and the general public. Finally, its Investor in People recognition, which achieved Silver accreditation, a level attained by just 6% of those seeking the certification, confirms BENNING’s outstanding people management, and commitment to the on-going development of its employees.
BENNING UK’s Managing Director David Bond stated,
“Reaching this important milestone demonstrates BENNING’s commitment to continuous improvement in the key areas of health and safety, the environment, quality and the development of our staff. We want to be the best and be seen as a benchmark for the industrial UPS industry. We are very proud to be the first, and currently only, company in the UK industrial power protection and conversion market with all four key quality certifications.”
