A taste of apprenticeship training: students enthusiastic about the wide range of apprenticeships offered by BENNING.

On Saturday, 28.01.2023, the IvM Career Fair took place again for the first time after the COVOD 19 forced break at the Israhel-van-Meckenem School in Bocholt. At our booth, many students, some accompanied by their parents, informed themselves about the various training opportunities at BENNING.
In a relaxed atmosphere, the visitors discussed with our trainers and current trainees. Previous experiences and the various development opportunities in the different technical, commercial and IT occupational fields were discussed, including:
- Electronics technician for operating technology (m/f/d)
- Electronics technician for machines and drive technology (m/f/d)
- Technical product designer specializing in machine and plant design (m/f/d)
- IT specialist for system integration (m/f/d)
- Industrial clerk (m/f/d)
The students were enthusiastic about the wide range of training opportunities on offer and some arranged an internship right away. Accordingly, Mr. Giesing (Training Manager Technology at BENNING) summed up positively: "The event was a complete success and we are already looking forward to participating next year!" He continued: "In addition to the opportunity to get to know us at the various training fairs in which we participate, schools also have the opportunity to visit our plant from time to time. Just a few days ago, 21 students from the Wesel Vocational College took advantage of this opportunity to find out about our training opportunities. In addition, we participate in the dual orientation internship of the district of Borken."
Working independently
The dual orientation internship is aimed at students:inside in high schools and is divided into a study-theoretical and a practical part in the company. The practical phase also ended a few days ago. We are particularly pleased about the great feedback from one of our students:
"I found the internship very good, especially because of the variety in the different departments, since I was already there last year. What I liked most was that I was able to work independently on the one hand and that I wasn't treated like an intern but like an employee."
